John Brown
An accomplished, versatile executive with global experience, John specializes in business development & execution, relationship management and product & technology investment. John had a distinguished corporate career spanning 35 years in the financial services industry where he was proud to lead large teams across a wide range of businesses during times of growth and during times of great challenges in the global markets.
John is an innovative change leader known often for taking small entrepreneurial ideas and growing them into global businesses, or successfully turning around struggling enterprises. While at UBS, he contributed to the successful turnaround of Wealth Management Americas, where as Head of Wealth Management Solutions, he was responsible for all products and services and led the execution of a complex, cross-divisional strategy that returned the business to profitability. It now manages more than $1 trillion in invested assets, with revenue of over $8 billion and 17,000 employees. He also served on each of the division’s governing bodies, the Executive, Operating and Risk committees.
For over 20 years, John has worked to combine his business skills with his passion for serving those who serve their country in uniform and has been actively involved in honoring and caring for veterans and their families. He has applied his deep global experience and transformation skills to help ensure that a measurable impact is attained in all of his nonprofit endeavors. Although not a veteran himself, he is the son of a WWII US Army veteran and the proud father of a member of the 82nd Airborne currently posted at Ft. Bragg.
