Lew Knopp is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Templar Titan, Inc., a global risk management and strategic security firm with nearly 25 years of experience delivering solutions in complex, high-risk, and operationally demanding environments.

A former United States Navy SEAL and defense contractor, Lew brings more than three decades of experience in national security, crisis response, personnel protection, and international operations. His career spans military service, government contracting, and private-sector engagements throughout the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Eurasia, and the Americas.

Lew founded Templar Titan to carry forward the mission that shaped his military career: protecting Americans, advancing U.S. interests, and helping people and organizations confront extraordinary challenges. Under his leadership, Templar Titan has supported security and recovery operations following the September 11 attacks and Hurricane Katrina, as well as international crisis-response and personnel-recovery missions involving Americans in Egypt, Libya, and Afghanistan.

His approach to leadership reflects the discipline and accountability of Naval Special Warfare, combined with the judgment, discretion, resourcefulness, and trusted relationships required to operate effectively where conventional resources and support may be limited, or entirely unavailable.

Throughout his career, Lew has built a reputation for approaching difficult assignments with a simple principle: understand the mission, assemble the right people, and deliver solutions when circumstances leave little margin for error. That philosophy continues to guide Templar Titan’s work with government, corporate, and private-sector clients confronting consequential challenges at home and abroad.

A native of Appalachia with deep roots in Pittsburgh, Lew credits his journey to the grace of Almighty God, the strength of his family, and the privilege of serving alongside extraordinary men and women. He remains deeply committed to the Naval Special Warfare community, military families, and organizations that honor those who have given their lives, or who carry lasting wounds, in service to the nation.
